Colorado Threads is a women's activewear brand that developed a cult-like following for our creative Colorado designs and dedication to Colorado-based, in-house manufacturing.
From 2012 until I exited in mid-2018, we grew the brand to over $4M in annual revenue. I'm proudest of building a full-service apparel manufacturing facility in Denver (dye sublimation, cutting, and sewing) that still operates today.
Across those five years I went deep on activewear: pattern design, fabric selection, tech packs, and manufacturing. I know how premium activewear gets made.

Six years. From dorm room to factory floor.
From Venice to Chicago. Sold in 50+ studios.
We built distribution the old-fashioned way: one yoga studio at a time. By the time I exited, Colorado Threads was carried in over 50 studios across the country, from Venice, California to Chicago.
Every piece was designed in Denver and made in our own facility. No overseas factories, no MOQs that locked us into bad inventory.
We built the factory we couldn't find.
Most fashion startups outsource production from day one. We did the opposite: leased a warehouse in Denver, bought industrial dye-sublimation printers, and stood up our own cut-and-sew operation.
Owning the factory meant we could prototype in days, run small drops without minimums, and keep margin in-house. The facility is still running today, six years after I exited.
Every year, a kit for Children's Hospital of Colorado.
Once a year we ran a collaboration drop. Every dollar of profit went to Children's Hospital of Colorado. It became one of the most-anticipated releases of the year for our community.
It also taught me that the most defensible thing a brand can have is a reason to exist beyond itself.
